In a brand-new, must-watch reality series called The Braxtons, Toni, Towanda, Trina, Tamar, and matriarch Ms. Evelyn Braxton reunite to share their ongoing journey of love, success, heartbreak, and unbreakable family bonds.
It’s been more than three years since Braxton Family Values captivated audiences for seven seasons, solidifying the Braxton family as fixtures in the reality TV world. The network shared in February that the new series promises to pick up right where they left off, offering an intimate look at the family’s life over the past few years, including the challenges of quarantine and the devastating loss of their beloved sister, Traci. This emotional chapter will chronicle how the family navigates their grief while forging ahead with new beginnings.
Ms. Evelyn expressed their collective hope: “Thank you all for sharing our lives. I hope that through each one of our experiences, you’ll grow with us. Inspiring you in your endeavors, and teaching you the importance of family, love, and experiencing life. Remember, we’re not perfect, we’re only human. Look at God.”
In this new series, Ms. Evelyn is committed to helping her daughters heal together, transforming their pain into promise. Each hour-long episode will follow the Braxton sisters as they juggle relationships, motherhood, careers, and, above all, their sisterhood.
The season promises to be both heartfelt and dynamic:
- Toni Braxton: Launching her Las Vegas residency, “Love and Laughter,” alongside Cedric the Entertainer at the Cosmopolitan, Toni continues to dazzle as she balances her career and personal life.
- Towanda Braxton: As a devoted mother of two teenagers, Towanda plays a pivotal role in the life of her nephew, Kevin, who is navigating life without his mother, Traci.
- Trina Braxton: Balancing her entrepreneurial ventures and motherhood, Trina supports her two sons as they step into adulthood.
- Tamar Braxton: Expanding her music and media empire, Tamar manages the complexities of motherhood and her growing professional responsibilities.
This season will not only explore their professional triumphs and setbacks but also dig into their personal lives, including Ms. Evelyn’s quest for a life partner. The series promises to be raw and unfiltered, offering viewers a deeper connection with the Braxtons as they face life’s highs and lows together.
Brett Dismuke, Head of Content for WE TV and ALLBLK, shared the significance of the Braxtons’ return: “It is not overstating things to say this is one of the most significant developments in the history of WE TV and a moment the fans have been waiting for since the final episode of ‘Braxton Family Values’ aired on December 17, 2020. The Braxtons are one of the founding families of reality television and WE TV viewers were along for the ride through every moment of their original pioneering series, which spanned 148 unforgettable episodes. We are thrilled to welcome them back and once again be able to share these dynamic relationships and all the highs, lows, triumphs, setbacks, and drama that fall in between.”
Produced by Tara Long and Ri-Karlo Handy for Blink49 and Datari Turner for Datari Turner Productions, with Toni, Tamar, Trina, Towanda, and Evelyn Braxton as executive producers, The Braxtons promises to be an emotional rollercoaster that will resonate with audiences old and new.
