When it debuted at Walt Disney World back in June, it received rave reviews for its vibrant storytelling and authentic nods to Black heritage. Before you board your log to join Tiana on her next big adventure in Disneyland, why not immerse yourself in more of the park’s Black cultural experiences? From live jazz bands to soul food and unforgettable encounters with iconic characters, here are 10 must-do activities that highlight Black history, music, and storytelling – perfect for setting the stage for Tiana’s journey.
Tiana’s Palace Quick-Service Restaurant
Located in Disneyland Park, Tiana’s Palace offers a delightful dining experience where guests can enjoy New Orleans-inspired dishes. The menu includes rotating seasonal flavors and ingredients sourced directly from Louisiana, bringing a taste of Tiana’s heritage to the park year-round.
Eudora’s Chic Boutique

Also at Avengers Campus, guests can meet Sam Wilson in his role as Captain America. His arrival marks an important shift in the Marvel Universe, giving fans the opportunity to celebrate the Black Captain America, a character that represents bravery, leadership, and inclusivity.
Soulful Music with Five & Dime
Over at Disney California Adventure Park, the Five & Dime band brings the sounds of the 1920s and 1930s to Buena Vista Street. The group, led by a female vocalist named Dime, performs a mix of jazz and swing music, adding a touch of Black musical history to the park’s entertainment offerings.
Asha and Ariel
At Disneyland Park’s Fantasyland, guests may encounter Asha from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Wish, a new character that brings diversity and magic to the park. Additionally, Ariel, from the live-action version of The Little Mermaid, makes special appearances near It’s a Small World, further emphasizing Disney’s commitment to showcasing Black talent in its characters and stories.
