Momo Boyd, member of sibling soft rock band Infinity Song, is branching out with her first-ever solo single titled American Love Song. Boyd took to Instagram yesterday to share the exciting news, revealing that the track will be released on her birthday, March 27.

In her heartfelt Instagram post, Boyd reflected on the journey that led her to this milestone. “Many years of going back and forth with myself, figuring out what it is I want to say, feeling immense pressure for perfection,” she wrote. “And now finally deciding that I’d rather just do what I’m made to do than continue to get caught in the eternal rat race that is ‘having it all figured out.’ So here I am doing that!”
While Boyd has been widely recognized for her work with Infinity Song — a family band known for their harmonious blend of soft rock and soul — her solo venture represents a deeply personal artistic leap. She shared that pursuing her own music alongside her work with the band has long been a goal.
“I’m really so blessed to be able to do music and art with my family, Infinity Song, but adding to that and expanding it has been a goal of mine and it’s soooo exciting to be doing it,” Boyd expressed.
Her announcement also included a striking cover photo featuring a vintage-coiffed Boyd in a denim jacket against a bold red background — a powerful visual that mirrors her message of stepping into her own path. Infinity Song showed their support in the comments, writing, “There she goes,” while her sister, Angel Marie Boyd, added, “Yay can’t waitttt!”
American Love Song is available for pre-save now, and fans are eagerly counting down the days until Boyd’s solo debut. As she prepares to share this next chapter of her musical journey, her message is clear: this is just the beginning.
