Today marks the grand opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World Resort, with a later opening planned for Disneyland Resort!

As Jason Recher, Vice President – Segment Content Creation & Digital Integration at Disney Parks, Experiences and Products announced on Disney Parks Blog, the celebration doesn’t stop there!
“Disney Parks and New Orleans are coming together in a pretty epic way. In the words of Princess Tiana herself, fairy tales can come true — the entire Tiana’s Bayou Adventure soundtrack is available NOW on Walt Disney Records across all streaming platforms!”
The attraction’s soundtrack, now streaming on all major platforms, features an all-new, original song titled “Special Spice,” written, produced, and performed by Grammy Award winner PJ Morton, with vocals by Anika Noni Rose, the original voice of Princess Tiana and a Disney legend. This song captures the essence of the adventure where Princess Tiana, preparing for a grand Mardi Gras celebration, faces a mix-up and needs to find a band. The journey through the bayou reveals that the “Special Spice” making this event complete is indeed you, the visitor.
Along with “Special Spice,” the soundtrack includes new renditions of beloved songs from “The Princess and the Frog,” performed by some of New Orleans’ finest musicians. PJ Morton’s contributions to the attraction’s music, as well as those of Terence Blanchard in the queue, bring to life tunes like “Gonna Take You There” and “Down in New Orleans.” Leah Chase Kamata(daughter of Leah Chase, who was one of the inspirations for Tiana) also recorded a lovely rendition of “Do You Know What It Means to Miss New Orleans?”.
Notable musicians featured in Tiana’s Bayou Adventure include:
- Anika Noni Rose: The beloved voice of Princess Tiana returns to sing vocals on “Special Spice.”
- Jon Batiste, Jon Cleary, and Trombone Shorty: These Grammy-award-winning musicians contribute their talents to songs throughout the attraction.
- Tarriona “Tank” Ball: A native of New Orleans, Ball performs a new rendition of “Dig A Little Deeper.”
