Destiny’s Child’s LaTavia Roberson and ‘Empire’ actress Ta’Rhonda Jones are among the new honorary inductees of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. The 2024 Boule Induction Class is set to be an unstoppable force of brilliance, leadership, and innovation. This class includes C-Suite executives, visionary entrepreneurs, and formidable community leaders who are committed to amplifying the sorority’s mission.



The new inductees spent their induction morning participating in a group community service activity at the Houston Food Bank and have pledged to collectively raise $25,000 to support the sorority’s initiatives.

Meet the 2024 Honorary Members

Bettina Benson
Founder and Creative Director of Chloe Kristyn, Benson is a fashion visionary who celebrates the multidimensionality of modern women. Her designs have been featured in major publications like WWD and Essence.

Rebekah Borucki
Founder of BexLife® and Row House Publishing, Borucki is a meditation guide, birth doula, and author. She is dedicated to making mental health support accessible, especially to vulnerable communities.

Jackie Chambers de Freitas
VP of Agile Delivery & Coaching at Salesforce, de Freitas leads a global team focused on Agile adoption. She is a champion for STEM education and mentors young, diverse professionals.

Kelley Gay
Senior VP and Chief Marketing Officer for OneAmerica Financial, Gay drives the company’s marketing and communications strategy. She is passionate about financial literacy, youth charities, and diversity advocacy.

Krystal Harris
Actress and storyteller, Harris is known for her roles in ‘The New Edition Story’ and ‘The Oval.’ She recently opened an acting school to help young people navigate the entertainment industry.

Ta’Rhonda Jones
Known for her role in ‘Empire,’ Jones is the founder of the Black Village Foundation, which supports underserved neighborhoods in Chicago. She is also the host of OWN Network’s new dating show “The Never Ever Mets.”

Bianca Knight
Olympic gold medalist in track and field, Knight runs the Bianca Knight Foundation to promote excellence in youth sports. She is also an assistant track coach at Queens University.

Dwan “Dee” Martin
Entrepreneur and host of the talk show “Espresso Self,” Martin is the founder of Urban Luxe Cafe and is deeply involved in community engagement in Chicago.

Sharon Moody
Interim Chief Defense Attorney at The Legal Aid Society in New York, Moody has a background in civil and criminal law with a focus on grassroots organizing and diversity advocacy.

LaTavia Roberson
Original member of Destiny’s Child, Roberson now runs the Le Papillon Foundation and has a cosmetics line. She is developing a documentary about her life and resilience.

Kim Roxie
Founder of LAMIK Beauty, Roxie created a makeup line free of harmful chemicals. Her mission is to provide safe, natural beauty products for women of color.

April Showers
Founder and CEO of Afro Unicorn, Showers created a brand to empower women and children of color. Afro Unicorn products are now sold at major retailers like Walmart and Target.

Kera Wright
CFO of ALSAC, the fundraising arm of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Wright is involved in reducing youth violence through sports and arts programs in Memphis.

The new honorary members exemplify the values of Sigma Gamma Rho and are poised to make significant contributions to their communities and the sisterhood.
