This past weekend, Disney enthusiasts gathered at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, and the excitement reached new heights with the announcement of the opening date for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland. Set to debut on November 15, 2024, this eagerly awaited attraction follows its successful launch at Walt Disney World Resort in June, which we covered extensively.

The D23 event, held from August 9-11, 2024, was a celebration of Disney’s boundless creativity and innovation. Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro took center stage to announce not only the opening date for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure but also a host of other exciting updates across Disney parks. Among these were new attractions, themed lands, and enhancements that promise to deepen the magical experiences Disney parks offer worldwide.
One highlight of the weekend’s celebrations included the enchanting performance of Disney Princess – The Concert. A particularly special moment was Coco Jones’ live rendition of “Almost There,” offering a fresh and captivating twist on the beloved song from The Princess and the Frog.
Additionally, the event showcased the Disney Princess: Creating Tiana’s World panel. Hosted by Yvette Nicole Brown, this insightful discussion featured Disney Legend Anika Noni Rose, the voice of Tiana; Joyce Sherrí, director of the Disney+ Original series Tiana; and Disney Imagineers Charita Carter, Ted Robledo, and Carmen Smith. The panel offered an in-depth look at the creative process behind expanding Tiana’s story and bringing her vibrant world to life in new and imaginative ways.
