Every September, Black entrepreneurs and professionals gather to celebrate Black creativity, savvy, and excellence. Over 100 Black-owned businesses from across the West Coast come together to empower like-minded visionaries and celebrate Black identity. The Black Luxe Expo takes pride in fostering a thriving ecosystem where culture, art, technology, and commerce come to life.

Whitney Middlebrooks, Founder & Owner of Black Luxe & Co., a design studio based in High Point, NC, provides strategic consulting services with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. She initially launched the expo to promote her business, but it quickly evolved into a welcoming space for community members and creative minds. She explains, “It inspires, uplifts, promotes Black experiences, and creates meaningful connections and opportunities.”

The Black Luxe Expo, sponsored by the Winston-Salem Human Relations/Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Department and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., is set to attract a diverse audience of community leaders, government officials, and fellow business owners. The event will also feature exciting performances from Doug McCollum, Destiny Stone, and the Winston-Salem High Steppers.

In recent years, the expo has experienced remarkable growth, with the exhibitor rate increasing by an impressive 184%, nearly tripling in size since its inception in 2020. Last year, the expo welcomed an average of 2,500 attendees.

The 5th Annual Black Luxe Expo will take place on Saturday, September 21st, in Winston-Salem, NC, at Bailey Park. The event runs from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST, and admission is free for all attendees.
