It’s giving grown. It’s giving velvet. It’s giving “I know what love feels like because I’ve survived the loss of it.” Eric Benét is back—and he’s not coming alone.
Recently, the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter announced his new album The Co-Star, dropping June 6. The project is a full-bodied love letter to collaboration, featuring an elite lineup of Black women (and a few global surprises) that reads like the credits of your favorite soul-stirring playlist.

“Look at this lineup!!!! Who else could have pulled this OFF??!! Are you NOT ENTERTAINED ???” Benét wrote in the caption, radiating excitement. “Huge and humble thank you to all of these infinitely talented women who lent their gifts to the production of this project!”

From soul and sensuality to layered storytelling, The Co-Star is shaping up to be a genre-blending celebration of connection. It follows the vibe Benét teased on his 2024 Duets EP—but this time, it’s clear he’s swinging for timelessness.
Eric Benét has always been the kind of artist who doesn’t chase trends, but creates music you grow into. With The Co-Star, he’s reminding us what happens when seasoned artistry meets intentional collaboration.
Mark your calendars. The Co-Star drops June 6. If this lineup is any indication, we’re all about to be reintroduced to intimacy, grown-folk harmony, and soft life ballads—delivered by the best to ever do it.
