Miami Beach is back and sizzling for summer 2024! After a spring break shutdown due to safety concerns, the city is rolling out the welcome mat with a calendar packed with events designed to inspire and entertain, according to a statement released by the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority.
“As we look to the summer ahead, Miami Beach will continue to offer a variety of must-visit experiences that fuse film, fashion, art and music together,” says Peggy Benua, Chairwoman of the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority (MBVCA).
Immerse yourself in the sounds of summer with the Miami Beach Classical Music Festival, happening June 10th through July 28th. This year marks the 11th anniversary, featuring talented young artists from over 25 countries performing free concerts throughout Miami Beach – think Lummus Park, Ocean Drive, and Lincoln Road.
The American Black Film Festival (ABFF) returns for its 28th year, June 12th-16th, showcasing quality films and TV content by and about Black people. Expect screenings, thought-provoking talks, exclusive parties, and networking opportunities for aspiring filmmakers and industry veterans alike. Can’t make it in person? A virtual component runs from June 17th to 24th, so you can catch the celebration from anywhere in the world.
Miami Beach is also proud to represent during National Pride Month with special events. Join LGBTQ+ professionals for an “Out Pro Pop-Up” networking social at the Kimpton Palomar South Beach on June 20th.
