That’s right! The viral performance vocalist, songwriter, producer, and DJ has reached a major career milestone as his groundbreaking EP En Route has been nominated for Best Progressive R&B Album at the 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards.

Released in May 2024, En Route is a genre-blending EP that showcases Durand’s signature style and musical versatility. From funk and jazz to modern R&B, the EP offers a deep and personal exploration of his artistry and experiences. It serves as a bridge between his critically acclaimed sophomore album Wanderlust and his forthcoming solo and collaborative projects.

In Durand’s words: “En Route is the by-product of my experiences and evolution as both a person and an artist. It’s me expressing exactly how I feel, what I need and how I want to be treated. While narrating these stories, I wanted to incorporate the eras, genres, cultures, instruments, and music legends that inspire me.”

En Route has captured the attention of listeners with its intimate and thought-provoking storytelling, which connects deeply with fans through powerful, relatable messages. With tracks like the lead single “Unknown” and the upbeat “Fist Bump” featuring Free Nationals, the EP has already cemented itself as a fan favorite and now has a GRAMMY nomination to back it up!

Durand’s talent doesn’t just stop at creating incredible music. Over the past year, he has continuously pushed boundaries with live performances at renowned music festivals such as Vermont Jazz Fest, MOBI Fest, and Bonnaroo. He also introduced his sold-out Rollin’ With the Homies Skate Experience, a six-city skate tour that showcased his musical prowess as DJ TBD aka Bra Coley. The second leg of the tour will be announced soon, so stay tuned for more opportunities to catch Durand live.

For those who want to experience En Route firsthand, the EP is available on all major streaming platforms. Whether you’re listening to it as a soundtrack for your own journey or as a way to connect with Durand’s evolving artistic expression, this GRAMMY-nominated project is one you don’t want to miss.

As we look ahead, the 67th Annual GRAMMY Awards will air live on February 2, 2025, where the winners will be revealed, and we’re crossing our fingers for Durand!
